LEARNING OUTCOMES - The PLT will,
- Understand their role in the school and the school sports partnership
- Observe the delivery of high quality PE and have the opportunity to discuss what makes an outstanding PE and school sport programme
- Understand how their work in PE and sport can be seen as a process for whole school improvement
- Understand how PE and sport links into the Every Child Matters agenda
- Understand how to monitor and evaluate the impact of their work
- Understand how PE and sport support the overall ethos of the school
Continuing Peoples Development an Training Consultancy have been working closely with Darren Padgett and Nick Gaywood the PDM’s for the Barnsley School Sports Partnerships to deliver a 2 day bespoke training course to meet the needs of the PLT’s. Cost of the course is £320 all inclusive
We have seconded the services of Michael Gilmore headteacher and Emma Wolff PLT at Barugh Green Primary School. The school was judged outstanding at the last Ofsted inspection carried out in January of this year. Michael, Emma and Mark Wilgose lead trainer at Continuing Peoples Development have designed a two day course that will help you get a clearer understanding of how your work can be developed and impact across the whole school.
BARUGH GREEN OFSTED SUMMARY
If you are new into the post or have been involved since the beginning in 2002/2003 this course is for you.
There are over 80 PLT’s in Barnsley and we only have spaces for 30. Places will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
