Event Feedback

To provide us with feedback about any event we have organised please fill out the Event Feedback Form. Feeback will be added below when we recieve it.

Y 5/6 Athletics

"Great event as usual - fabulous atmosphere in the stands, with children and parents shouting their competitors on, and well run by the organisers. Always one of my favourite events of the year!"

{ Jonathon Dabell - Brierley Primary }

Y 5/6 Girls Kwik Cricket

"A very enjoyable event for our girls, well organised and the venue was superb. The only negative aspect of the day was the shockingly unsporting reaction of our first opponents when they found out they had beaten us, most certainly not in the spirit of the competition."

{ Alexander Barclay - Gooseacre Primary }

Y 5/6 Orienteering - Cannon Hall

" The kids thoroughly enjoyed the morning. They found "C" the toughest control to find. You are all stars for organising these events. It must be a long day for you. Cheers."

{ Alex Simon / Steve Frith - Silkstone }

KS2 Gymnastics

"Great event, well run and feedback very helpful"

{ Gordon Calvert - High View }

Y 5/6 Hockey Tournament

"An enjoyable event which just went a little sour at the end when time ran out and some games weren't played as a result. I was glad to receive the email saying that from now on this event will take place during the school afternoon, easing the pressure of having all matches completed by 5.30pm. Congratulations to Darton, who beat our school in the final and impressed me as a very organised and powerful team!"

{ Jonathon Dabell - Brierley }

Y 3 Football Multi Skills

"Thanks to all concerned in running the session. My children (and I) had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the afternoon. The activities were well thought out and well organise, which led to an excellent session for children, teachers and parents alike."

{ Ray Rock - Darfield Valley }

Y 5/6 Girls Football Final / Cannon Hall Cross Country

"Just a few words of thanks for all the hard work in the sporting events you arrange and organise especially the above event and the primary cross-country. I have attended both events with St Dominic’s pupils and derived much pleasure and satisfaction from watching the children compete and give of their best. Hope to attend many more such events in the future."

{ Ian Pearson - St. Dominic's }

Y 5/6 Boys Football Finals - Barnsley F.C

"Brilliant set up and well organised kids really enjoyed themselves however I feel that it would have been better to use the hooter to start the game and let each referee decide when to call time as there was a lot of time wasting retreaving loose balls also certain referees were not up to scratch and gave very bad decisions which the kids were upset about as it lost them two games - kicking the ball out of keepers hands and a free kick where the opponent simply tripped over his own feet with no one else near him and a goal resulted it is important however to keep up with this event as it is very good for the kids development"

{ A Parent }

Y 5/6 Cross Country - Cannon Hall

"Brilliant. Might need a paramedic next time. Quite a few with stitch and near heart attacks. The kids at Silkstone are really grateful for the opportunity to take part in such a wide range of events. Thanks to Darren and his gang. It is MUCH appreciated."

{ Alex Simon / Steve Frith - Silkstone }

Y 5/6 Cross Country - Phoenix Park

"A really excellent event. The alterations to the course improved the event and made the final 300 metres particularly exciting from a spectator's point of view. (Last year, the children were out of sight for too much of the race and could only be cheered in for the last 50 metres or so). I thought that good sportsmanship was shown from all the pupils from each school during the presentations too. Thanks!"

{ Jonathon Dabell - Brierley }

Y 3-6 Orienteering - Locke Park

"The 14 children I brought had a great day out, and enjoyed meeting other children from other schools on the course. When we got back to school they were bursting with enthusiasm about the day, which in turn has inspired the children left behind to try volunteering to take part in other different sports, which is a real plus!"

{ Alexander Barclay - Gooseacre Primary }

"The kids had a great time and can't wait for the next event at Cannon Hall. We really appreciate the time given by everyone."

{ Alex Simon / Steve Frith - Silkstone }

"I ran an event around our school last week and took all KS2 to Locke Park. An excellent day, well organised and the children loved it. I also now have all my KS2 children that havetaken part in inter and intra school sport for pesscl survey. Thanks to all who organised it."

{ Ray Rock - Darfield Valley }

Y 5/6 Cross Country - Locke Park

"All the kids had a brilliant time and are looking forward to Cannon Hall. Everyone cheered everyone in whether at the front or that bit further back. Thanks"

{ Alex Simon / Steve Frith - Silkstone }

"Really good day but disappointed to hear booing through the presentation."

{ Gordon Calvert - High View PLC }
