Year 5/6 Boys Football Final

Action from the Tournament 12 Schools took part in the Year 5/6 Boys Football Final at Barnsley Academy on Tuesday 13th November. Each school had reached the final by winning their own family event so they were all winners before they arrived. Each school played 5 matches against other schools in their group in order to gain enough ponits to finish top of their league. Some excellent football was played on the day with some great goals to keep the spectators entertained.
In the end it was left to Wellgate and Littleworth Grange to take part in the final and after a tense game, it was Littleworth Grange who claimed the Barnsley title by winning 1-0. Brierley also claimed 3rd place by beating Birdwell on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Thanks go to Barnsley Football Club and Academy Manager, Dave Hancock, for allowing us to use the facilities for the event. Also to Barnsley Academy and Priory Sports College for providing the Junior referees for the event and Primary ICT solutions for providing the winners t-shirts.
