Year 5/6 Boys Futsal

Action from the Futsal Competition 19 schools took part in the annual Year 5/6 Boys Futsal competition which was held at Barnsley Football Club on Wednesday 20th February. The event was played in an excellent spirit with some high quality football on view. This was helped by the excellent facility which Barnsley Football Club had allowed us to use and thanks must go to them for this. The event was refereed by young referees from Darton High School who made sure that the event was played to the correct rules.

After each school had played in group games the tournament moved on to the knock out stages with the top 4 in each group going through. Congratulations go to Wombwell Park Street who finished as winners of the competition, beating High View in a closely played final. Both teams will now go on to represent Barnsley in the South Yorkshire Final later in the year.
