Year 9 Sportshall Athletics

7 schools took part in the first ever Barnsley Year 9 Sportshall Athletics Competition which was held at Royston High School on Tuesday 29th January. Each school took part in a circuit of 12 stations in order to gain as many points as possible for their school. Events included the shuttle run, javelin, standing long jump, caber toss, vertical jump, hand grip and hurdles among others.

Congratulations go to Priory Sports College who finished as winners of the event with Holgate Sports College finshing as runners up. Thanks go to Royston High School for providing the facilities for the event and also to all the staff for helping to score on each station.
